Data Analyst, Quality

Anduril•Atlanta, GA

About The Position

Quality Intelligence supports data and AI in Anduril's manufacturing quality organization through Analytics, Manufacturing AI, and Vision Inspection. Analytics delivers end-to-end data and analytics work for product quality engineers, including scorecards, data pipelines, and AI tools. The team uses a hub-and-spoke model: headquarters builds centralized analytics platforms, while site engineers localize and operate them at each manufacturing site. This is the site analytics lead role at Anduril's Atlanta facility. The Data Analyst is the resident analytics engineer accountable for the site's deployed Quality Intelligence tools. The role maintains and improves existing production dashboards and pipelines, and builds new analytics products as programs and factory requirements evolve. It combines hands-on development with gathering requirements, prioritizing work, driving rollouts, and communicating site learnings to headquarters. The position is subject to ITAR; applicants must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance. The role works at the intersection of hardware manufacturing and data analytics, spending time on the production floor to understand quality workflows and deliver actionable tools. It draws from production systems such as ERP, MES, QMS, and inventory, and uses Palantir Foundry and Databricks to build pipelines and ontologies. The analyst partners with manufacturing engineers, ML practitioners, program quality leads, operators, and cross-functional teams to deliver trusted, adopted analytics products. Travel to Anduril sites and vendors may be up to 25%.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a Data Analyst, Data Engineer, Analytics Engineer, or similar role.
  • Experience with Foundry, Databricks, or an equivalent cloud lakehouse.
  • Experience building or maintaining pipelines and dashboards that other teams depend on.
  • Strong SQL skills with large, multi-source datasets, including joins across heterogeneous systems, window functions, and performance tuning.
  • Applied experience using AI tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, Copilot, or AIP, and ability to critically review AI-generated artifacts.
  • Ability to troubleshoot data issues, trace incorrect figures through the stack, and explain their causes.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance; the role is subject to ITAR.
  • Clear communication skills, with the ability to communicate plainly to directors and precisely to engineers.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% to Anduril sites and vendors.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a hardware manufacturing environment, such as NPI, ramp, or high-volume production, or comfort working in and around manufacturing operations, including on the production floor.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing data systems, including ERP (Oracle, NetSuite, SAP), MES, QMS, PLM (Teamcenter), or inventory and warehouse systems.
  • Strong Python skills for data transformation and scripting, including Pandas, PySpark, or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with quality methodologies such as RCCA / 8D, FMEA, GD&T, IQC / OQC, or control-plan design.
  • Defense or regulated-manufacturing experience, such as ITAR, AS9100, IPC-610, or MIL-STD-1916.
  • Experience with software engineering practices such as Git, code review, CI, and rigorous testing of data code.
  • Experience integrating LLMs or ML models into analytics workflows, such as RAG over operational data, AI-assisted triage, or agentic data exploration.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, maintain, and improve production dashboards, pipelines, and quality metrics used at the Atlanta site.
  • Pull data from production systems, including ERP, MES, QMS, and inventory, and build pipelines and ontologies in Palantir Foundry and Databricks.
  • Partner with manufacturing engineers, ML practitioners, program quality leads, operators, and cross-functional teams to deliver analytics products.
  • Gather feedback from operators, manufacturing engineers, and program quality; translate it into a prioritized, visible backlog and submit evidence-backed requests to headquarters.
  • Investigate inaccurate dashboards and data by performing deep-dive analysis in SQL and Python, tracing issues through the stack, identifying root causes, and fixing them at the source.
  • Implement data-quality checks, validation rules, and automated monitoring in pipelines.
  • Build AI-assisted applications and workflows in Foundry or Databricks to reduce repetitive analyst work.
  • Support data projects end to end, from requirements through deployment, and help translate program quality needs into data products.
  • Drive adoption by training operators, holding office hours, tracking usage, and treating adoption as a deliverable.
  • Use AI tools in day-to-day work to draft pipelines, write tests, generate dashboards, explore unfamiliar data, and speed up repetitive tasks.
  • Spend time on the production floor to understand manufacturing quality workflows and build actionable analytics tools for them.
  • Travel to Anduril sites and vendors, up to 25%.

Benefits

  • Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full-time offers and are considered part of total compensation.
