About The Position

Genesis10 is seeking a mid-level to senior Data Analyst to support the Cyber Data Operations team for Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) programs. This individual will be adept at analyzing data sources, creating technical requirements, and scrubbing data from upstream source systems. The role involves working with both stakeholders and data development teams to understand data sources being loaded into the data warehouse. This is a 6-month contract opportunity with a hybrid work arrangement.

Requirements

10 years of experience in a Data Analyst role
Experience with SQL and relational databases
Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Google Data Studio
Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret data in a business context
Effective communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams
Able to work a hybrid schedule, based in the Jersey City, NJ office with willingness to travel to New York, NY for meetings

Nice To Haves

Proficiency in Python
Understanding of the GRC data space
Knowledge of controls testing and how to automate controls testing projects

Responsibilities

Gather and organize data from internal systems, spreadsheets, and reports
Analyze trends, patterns, and business performance using Excel or BI tools
Work with stakeholders and data development teams to understand data sources
Create technical requirements for data integration projects
