Peregrine Advisors is hiring a Data Analyst to turn a federal program’s operational data into reliable figures, reports, dashboards, and analytical datasets. The role is hybrid in the Washington, DC metropolitan area, with commuting cadence varying by assignment. The initial engagement requires United States citizenship and the ability to obtain a Public Trust determination. The first project will likely involve building the reporting a federal program relies on. The analyst will work with process owners to define measures and document business rules; use SQL to create clean, reconciled datasets from Amazon Aurora and related AWS data stores; and build reports, dashboards, and visualizations with documented measures, refresh schedules, and access controls. The analyst will trace discrepancies to their sources, produce validation and reconciliation evidence and issue logs suitable for audit, and replace manual reporting with repeatable, tested workflows. AI-assisted analysis using coding assistants and language models is part of the work, alongside the analyst’s own judgment. Assignments may evolve as program needs and priorities change. This is a full-time W-2 position with an annual salary of $67,000 to $123,000. Peregrine supports employee development through onboarding, sponsored certifications and continuing education, and rotation across functions and clients. The company describes its commitments as delivering value for clients, helping government work better for the public, and developing its team.
