About The Position

Peregrine Advisors is hiring a Data Analyst for a full-time W-2 position based in the Washington, DC metropolitan area with a hybrid work arrangement. The initial engagement requires U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a Public Trust determination. The commuting cadence varies by assignment. The analyst will turn federal program operational data into reliable, documented figures and analytical datasets. The initial project will likely involve building reporting for a federal program, including defining measures with process owners, documenting business rules, querying data in Amazon Aurora and related AWS data stores, and developing recurring reports, dashboards, and visualizations. The work emphasizes clear definitions, reconciliation, performance, appropriate access controls, and auditability. The analyst will investigate discrepancies, produce validation checks and reconciliation reports, maintain issue logs, replace manual reporting with repeatable and tested workflows, and use AI-assisted analysis tools alongside sound professional judgment. As assignments and priorities change, the analyst may move to other challenging problems across the company’s work. The role involves collaboration with developers, engineers, data scientists, architects, strategists, and client stakeholders.
