About The Position

Vivint, an NRG-owned smart home company, is seeking an experienced Data Analyst to develop and maintain reporting for Sales Operations within its direct-to-home sales division. The role focuses on exploring data relationships, creating strong visualizations, and owning reporting for a visible area of the business. The analyst will work with program stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver accurate, accessible, and impactful reporting, using SQL in Snowflake and Tableau.

Requirements

Strong proficiency in Tableau for dashboard development and data visualization.
Experience working with Snowflake or similar cloud data warehouses.
Advanced SQL skills and strong experience working with large, complex, and varied datasets.
Proficiency in Python for data analysis and automation.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to execute quickly in a fast-paced environment and deliver results amid ambiguity.
Ability to learn new tools, systems, and business concepts rapidly and apply that knowledge to solve problems.
Ability to balance speed and accuracy while maintaining accountability for outcomes.
Ability to build relationships with stakeholders, gather requirements, and manage expectations.

Nice To Haves

Experience with AI-assisted analytics tools such as Copilot or Cortex.
Experience with dbt or similar tools for data transformation and reporting support.
Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure.
Experience collaborating with data engineering teams or understanding data pipelines.
Knowledge of statistics, A/B testing, or predictive modeling.
Familiarity with version control such as Git.
Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, formulas, and data analysis.

Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and manage a large portfolio of Tableau dashboards, ensuring they remain accurate, performant, and aligned with business needs.
Translate business questions into structured analyses, dashboards, and data solutions.
Write and optimize SQL queries and Python scripts to extract, clean, and analyze large datasets from Snowflake.
Perform exploratory analysis to identify trends, issues, and opportunities.
Ensure data accuracy through validation, reconciliation, and quality checks.
Automate reporting and data workflows where possible.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve data accessibility, structure, and usability.
Take ownership of work with minimal oversight, identify opportunities proactively, and drive work to completion.
Gather stakeholder requirements, manage expectations, and translate business needs into actionable insights.
Collaborate with cross-functional partners and independently perform hands-on analytical work, including coding and dashboard development.
