About The Position

The Data Analyst at Upward Health will play a crucial role in transforming complex data into accessible and actionable insights. This individual will be responsible for creating and editing visual content, including maps, charts, and graphs, to present data in ways that are easy to interpret and spot patterns, trends, and correlations. The ideal candidate will work in a fast-paced environment, developing scalable reporting features and becoming fluent in data warehouse models. They will analyze functional needs, design and develop software solutions, and ensure adherence to security policies and quality assurance best practices. This role requires the ability to meet deadlines, test code, document technical designs, and collaborate effectively with users and business analysts to translate requirements into technical solutions. Additionally, they will support and supervise technology projects in production environments.

Requirements

  • 3 years of experience as a Data or Business Analyst, preferably in the healthcare industry, with a focus on data management and analytics.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or related field
  • Proficiency in Power BI, Microsoft SQL Server, and Structured Query Language (SQL).
  • Expertise in creating data representations such as charts, graphs, and infographics.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a virtual environment.
  • Strong curiosity and desire to learn new skills and technologies.
  • Ability to work with large datasets and see the bigger picture.
  • Familiarity with data warehouse models, data dictionaries, and best practices for leveraging large datasets.
  • Knowledge of data security best practices and healthcare industry standards for reporting.
  • Ability to analyze large datasets, spot trends, and transform data into actionable insights.
  • Expertise in documenting technical solutions, creating clear reports, and supporting maintenance efforts.
  • Capable of supporting and supervising technology projects, ensuring features are developed, tested, and implemented in production environments.
  • Familiarity with healthcare data, regulations, and reporting requirements.
