About The Position

The Transportation Operational Analytics role sits at the center of Walmart’s transportation ecosystem, supporting how freight moves end‑to‑end - from distribution centers to suppliers to stores. This position turns transportation system data into actionable insights that improve how trucks are planned, dispatched, monitored, and optimized across the network. This role partners closely with Transportation Operations, Home Office teams, and Field Support to analyze system performance, uncover inefficiencies, and drive data‑backed improvements that enhance service, reduce cost, and strengthen operational execution at scale. The Transportation Operational Analytics team serves as the central analytics hub for Walmart’s Transportation organization, enabling data‑informed decisions across the enterprise. We support the systems and processes that move trucks across the network -analyzing how freight flows from DCs to suppliers and stores, how transportation systems perform, and where opportunities exist to improve speed, cost, and service. The team focuses on: Building dashboards and analytical tools that monitor transportation KPIs and system performance. Supporting AOP savings initiatives through advanced analytics and optimization strategies. Providing ad‑hoc and executive‑ready analytics that support fast, informed decision‑making. Driving analytics for pilots and strategic initiatives tied to transportation systems, processes, and network changes. As part of this team, you’ll apply advanced analytics to real operational challenges, helping improve network efficiency, system reliability, and day‑to‑day transportation execution.
