About The Position

Thales is seeking a Data Analyst in Bangalore, India. The role calls for strong data analysis and querying skills, experience designing data models and reliable reporting structures, and the ability to build dashboards and visualizations. Requirements

• Strong proficiency in Python and/or SQL for data analysis.
• Strong expertise in SQL for extracting, joining, and transforming data.
• Good experience designing data models and building reliable reporting structures.
• Good experience with dashboarding or visualization tools such as Power BI or equivalent.
• Solid understanding of descriptive statistics and analytical methods, including segmentation, trends, correlations, and basic inference.
• Experience implementing data validation checks and ensuring dataset reliability.
• Good experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or equivalent.
• Experience supporting validation and testing for data pipelines, including data checks and unit tests for transformations.
• Autonomy, technical excellence, clear communication, teamwork, problem-solving, adaptability, curiosity, and continuous improvement.
• Familiarity with software and data lifecycle concepts and tools such as Git and Agile processes.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with data warehouses or lakehouses such as Snowflake or Databricks.
• Experience with time-series analysis, forecasting, or causal impact methods.
• Good experience preparing technical documentation for datasets, metrics, and analytical workflows.
• Good experience with CI/CD for data pipelines and GitLab CI/CD.
• Experience integrating LLM/AI-enabled analytics, such as automated insight generation, structured reporting, or enhanced querying, if applicable to the environment.

Responsibilities

• Analyze data using Python and/or SQL.

• Build dashboards and visualizations using Power BI or an equivalent tool.
