About The Position

The Data Analyst designs, develops, and maintains business intelligence solutions that meet organizational requirements. The role transforms raw data from multiple sources into interactive visualizations, dashboards, and reports to support informed, data-driven decision-making in alignment with Government Team Lead (GTL) requirements. The position is based in Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, and does not require travel.

The analyst connects and consolidates data from sources such as Army Vantage, cProbe, databases, spreadsheets, and cloud services; models, cleanses, and refines data; and develops data collection systems and strategies to improve statistical efficiency and data quality. The role also monitors data-source integrity and the reliability of data transformation processes, maintains expertise in Army data platforms and commercial BI tools, and responds to ad hoc analysis requests from the GTL.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in military operations, military information technology, or military models and simulations.
• Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
• Experience working with databases and data-querying languages such as SQL.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent time-management skills and a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• SECRET security clearance or ability to obtain a SECRET security clearance.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Army data systems such as Army Vantage.
• Familiarity with cProbe or similar data environments.
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms and services.
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain business intelligence solutions to support organizational objectives.
• Transform raw data from various sources into visualizations, dashboards, and reports.
• Connect to and consolidate data from enterprise systems, databases, spreadsheets, and cloud services.
• Model and transform data, including structuring, cleansing, and refining it to ensure accuracy and usability.
• Develop and implement data collection systems and strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and data quality.
• Create tailored dashboards and reports that turn complex data into actionable insights.
• Monitor data-source integrity and the efficiency and reliability of data transformation processes.
• Maintain expertise in Army data platforms and commercial BI tools for analysis and visualization.
• Support ad hoc data analysis requests from the Government Team Lead.
