The selected candidate for the 5th Generation MUO Data Analyst – Level 2 position will authenticate users for network access and tool utilization, analyze complex data sets to extract actionable insights and discern trends that inform better decision making, and develop and maintain database queries using programming languages such as Python and VBA. In addition, the analyst will deepen their understanding of machine learning algorithms and techniques to design and implement predictive analytics and pattern recognition models, effectively communicate findings through visualizations particularly Tableau dashboards and commit to continuous learning by staying current with emerging tools, methodologies, and research.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent work experience) in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, Data Science, Information Management, Finance, Business, Physics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related STEM discipline.
Must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Nice To Haves

Adept at creating clear Tableau dashboards that translate model insights for non-technical stakeholders
Analytical skills and understanding of system databases, data elements and/or application software solutions to optimize data gathering and analysis.
Strong analytical abilities with hands on experience in databases, data structures, or large scale data processing (e.g., Excel, Access, etc.).
Proficient in querying databases using Structured Query Language (SQL).
Excellent written and verbal communication; capable of presenting complex findings to both technical and non technical audiences.
Ability to create clear, concise reports, dashboards, and visual stories that drive decision making.
Proficient in statistical programming and data processing tools (Python, Alteryx)
Experience with automation, artificial intelligence (AI) and/or machine learning (ML).
Detail oriented, ensuring data accuracy through rigorous validation and root cause analysis
Self-motivated, driving independent projects while continuously learning new analytics and visualization tools
