About The Position

Are you a data-driven student with a passion for uncovering insights and driving business story telling? We’re seeking a Data Analyst to join our Personal Banking team and play a key role in transforming data into actionable strategies. This is an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge Business Intelligence technologies, refine your analytical skills, and contribute to meaningful business decisions. Potential Placements include Payment Innovation, Customer Data Management, and Cards & Loyalty.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R) and Business Intelligence platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Passion for data and a desire to drive business growth through insights.
• Must be returning to school after the work term end-date or require the work term as a mandatory component for graduation.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with databases, data engineering concepts, or cloud technologies.
• Exposure to software development practices, application support, or workflow automation.
• Ability to interpret and communicate complex technical insights to non-technical stakeholders.
• Bilingualism (English and /French) written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Identify, manage, analyze, and interpret data to support the creation of meaningful and actionable insights that drive business growth.
• Work with cutting-edge Business Intelligence technologies and data tools to streamline processes and enhance decision-making.
• Develop creative problem-solving and analytical skills to address complex business challenges.
• Refine communication and presentation skills by presenting findings and recommendations to business partners and senior management.
• Engage with various parts of the data lifecycle, including building data pipelines, feature engineering, data deep dives, and machine learning model development.
