About The Position

Veterinary United is seeking a motivated Data Analyst Intern to support data collection, reporting, and data quality activities. The opportunity is suited to a student who wants practical experience working with business data and analytical systems. The internship is unpaid; eligible students may be able to receive academic credit through their college or university, subject to school approval. The schedule is flexible based on academic requirements and business needs. The position is in person at Veterinary United HQ in Clinton Township, Michigan; remote and hybrid work are not available. Full-time hours are preferred, though flexible part-time hours are available.

Students interested in academic internship credit should confirm their institution’s eligibility and approval process. The intern is responsible for coordinating with their academic advisor. Veterinary United will provide reasonable documentation of internship duties and learning objectives as agreed upon.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a degree program in Business, Accounting, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, or a similar quantitative field.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
• Comfortable working with spreadsheets and computer software.
• Ability to work independently and follow established processes.
• Interest in data analysis and business intelligence.

Responsibilities

• Pull and compile data from various software systems and data sources.
• Review reports and extract relevant data for analysis and reporting.
• Maintain data sources and ensure information remains accurate and up to date.
• Check data for accuracy, completeness, and inconsistencies.
• Assist with organizing and preparing data for analysis and internal reporting.
• Support other data and analytical projects as needed.
