About The Position

Werner Enterprises offers an 11-week summer internship at its Corporate Headquarters in Omaha, Nebraska, designed to connect classroom learning with real-world experience. The paid internship includes dedicated job training and learning opportunities in a collaborative, inclusive work environment. Some remote and off-site opportunities may be available, and paid housing or housing assistance may be available. The intern will perform customer credit reviews, support audit compliance, report to credit department management, complete departmental tasks, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Internship development activities include Lessons with Leaders sessions, a mentor program, intern activities, community support events, networking, and a summer project proposal and presentation. Requirements

Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a willingness to engage with people in a respectful and engaging manner.
Ability to stay organized and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
Empathy and professionalism when handling sensitive or personal conversations.
Willingness to learn, take initiative, and contribute to a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

Perform credit reviews for Werner customers, including pulling credit reports and reviewing financials to help with audit compliance.
Report directly to the credit department's management and complete various departmental tasks as needed.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
