About The Position

The Data Analyst I supports data extraction, management, quality assurance, statistical analysis, and evaluation activities for THEEB. The position performs quantitative and qualitative analyses; develops and maintains analytic datasets; supports data cleaning, validation, harmonization, and documentation; and contributes to analyses of program implementation, reach, fidelity, dose, adaptation, and outcomes. The position supports DPRP, ADA/ADCES, APR, performance measurement, and national-level data activities and contributes to technical memoranda, tables, figures, reports, and presentations. Requirements

Must be able to obtain and maintain the required customer clearance for access to systems, facilities, equipment and property.
Knowledge of public health research and evaluation principles, concepts, methods, and techniques.
Knowledge of quantitative and qualitative analytical methods and their application to public health program evaluation.
Experience working with implementation-related measures such as reach, fidelity, dose, and adaptation.
Ability to communicate analytical findings clearly in written and oral formats.
Knowledge of the rules, procedures, and principles governing intramural and extramural program development, monitoring, and evaluation.
Ability to use Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Teams, and SharePoint.
Ability to use and manage administrative systems, including Human Subjects, OMB, IRB, and E-Clearance.
Previous experience working with government procedures and guidelines.
Ability to successfully complete any government-required background investigation or security clearance, if applicable to the task order.
Knowledge of the principles, concepts, methods, and techniques of public health research and evaluation to analyze, evaluate and provide expert advice and consultation.
Knowledge of the principles, methods, applications, and state-of-the-art technology in the position's scientific area of responsibility to provide direction and guidance on critical and complex issues.
Experience working with implementation-related measures (e.g., reach, fidelity, dose, adaptation) and linking implementation variables to outcomes.
Ability to use Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Teams, and SharePoint) efficiently and effectively.
Ability to use and manage CDC Administrative Systems (HUMAN SUBJECTS, OMB AND IRB, and E-Clearance) efficiently and effectively.
Previous experience working with the government procedures and guidelines.

Nice To Haves

A Master’s degree in statistics, biostatistics, epidemiology, public health, data science, health informatics, or a related field is recommended for this position, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in public health research, evaluation, data analysis, or data management.

Perform complex analytical studies (qualitative and quantitative analysis) and interpretation of results to coordinate the evaluation of programs and recommend improvements.
Analyze mixed-methods data (e.g., qualitative and quantitative integration).
Communicate, both orally and in writing, to make clear, convincing presentations, explain and justify recommendations, represent the agency, and assigned program or project areas, provide guidance, and advise program administrators and members of the community, respond to inquiries, and interact with high level officials and representatives from public and private public health organizations.
