About The Position

The DAS Installer will support in-building wireless projects in the Virginia market, including installation and maintenance of wireless access points. Projects serve federal, state, and local government, education, transportation, and healthcare customers. Installers work in teams of three to four, typically alongside a lead technician, and install systems that are primarily coax- and fiber-based. The position is based in Richmond, Virginia, and is fully onsite. It is a contract-to-hire role, with the possibility of extension or conversion for top performers; the posting notes that the assignment may last six months.

Requirements

• At least two years of experience in the wireless field.
• Experience with low-voltage coax installation and cable installation.
• Experience with rack-and-stack work, cable dressing, and labeling.
• Hardworking and reliable, with problem-solving and communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and grow, and ability to work as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

• Direct DAS experience.
• Fiber experience, including testing, terminating, pulling, or splicing.
• Experience with OEMs such as Corning, CommScope, SOLiD, ADRF, or Mobile Access.
• Experience with punchdowns, test cases, helix, WAP, PIM, sweep, site walks, and terminations.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain in-building wireless access points and DAS systems.
• Install and terminate low-voltage coax cabling, including 1/2-inch coax.
• Perform rack-and-stack work, cable dressing, and labeling.
• Work collaboratively on installation teams of three to four people.
