About The Position

CACI is seeking TS/SCI Poly-cleared candidates who speak Dari & Pashto (must have both). This is a prime contract supporting government operations in Fairfax, VA. Responsibilities include accurately translating reports and texts in electronic and hard-copy formats, capturing geopolitical, regional, ethnic, and cultural elements, and performing consecutive and occasional simultaneous interpretation. The role also involves transcribing audio or internet materials with high accuracy and expression, preparing reports, and summarizing factual and abstract concepts. Computer skills including MS Office and internet research are essential, as are excellent English-language written and verbal communication skills for presenting briefings.

Requirements

Must be a US Citizen
Active TS/SCI Clearance with adjudicated Polygraph
Ability to pass an advanced English test
Ability to score ILR Level 3 or higher on target language translation test
Ability to deploy - active passport
Minimum five (5) years’ professional experience conducting translation, transcription, translation, and/or interpretation
In-depth knowledge of the geopolitical, regional, ethnic, and cultural components of target language geographical areas
Master use of MS Office and internet research

Responsibilities

Accurately translate report/texts in electronic and hard-copy formats that not only contain facts, but also some abstract language showing an ability to capture intended implications and many nuances
Ability to capture geopolitical, regional, ethnic, and cultural elements in text
Interpretation - able to interpret accurately. The ability of consecutive interpretation is needed, but on rare occasions simultaneous interpretation maybe required.
Transcription - Review audio or internet materials, transcribes with high degree of accuracy and expression.
Must possess excellent English-language written communication skills for preparing reports.
Ability to identify and accurately summarize factual points as well as abstract concepts.
Must possess computer skills: including MS Office, to be able to produce written translations and products sufficient internet skills that will allow basic research the Web.
Excellent English language skills verbal communication skills to present briefings
