About The Position

The Interim Dance Team Coach promotes a fundamentally sound program focused on individual physical and skill development, fair play, and sportsmanship. The coach advises and leads the Dance Team so it can function effectively and foster school spirit at athletic events. This is an interim position expected to run approximately from November through mid-January.

Responsibilities

Direct, supervise, and train the Dance Team.
Oversee the team's conduct during practice sessions and contests.
Lead by example to encourage good sportsmanship and respectful conduct among students and in the community.
Support an energetic public relations program for the Dance Team and its activities.
Manage uniforms and supplies.
Ensure the Dance Team carries out duties established by the advisor's rules.
Conduct the Dance Team tryout clinic in the spring and arrange for tryout judges.
Order and issue awards to deserving Dance Team members.
Perform other Dance Team-related duties as directed by the Athletic Director.
Communicate positively and effectively with school personnel and students.
Contribute to a positive work environment, demonstrate integrity, respect confidentiality, arrive on time, and work consistently through the scheduled day.
Pursue job-related professional growth, work independently, adapt to changing situations, and demonstrate initiative without close supervision.
