About The Position

Zeta is seeking Dance Teachers with a Bachelor’s degree, 1–2+ years of teaching experience, and a passion for developing students through the art of dance. Zeta operates multiple elementary and middle schools across the Bronx, Upper Manhattan, and Queens, and is expanding to include a high school starting in the 2026-27 school year. The organization is dedicated to providing a world-class education that combines high academic achievement with social-emotional development, fostering a love for learning in all students.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree
1–2+ years of teaching experience
Passion for developing students through the art of dance

Responsibilities

Execute a bold vision of excellence in dance education, designing inquiry-driven, technically rigorous lessons that inspire creativity, artistic expression, and confidence in all students.
Build a vibrant, inclusive classroom culture where students develop a genuine love for dance and families feel connected to a strong, welcoming community.
Use data, student work, and research-based instructional tools to monitor progress, refine instruction, and support student growth in technique, performance, and artistry.
Develop authentic, trusting relationships with students and families to support each child’s personal, social-emotional, and artistic development.
Collaborate closely with colleagues and engage in ongoing professional learning, embracing feedback and coaching to continuously strengthen your practice.
Contribute to whole-school initiatives and provide instructional support as needed, ensuring dance is meaningfully integrated into the broader school experience.
Lead a high-quality after-school dance program that deepens students’ passion, builds technical skill, and expands opportunities for performance and enrichment.
