PT Dance Instructor/Choreographer
About The Position
DivaDance is a dance community focused on helping adults feel confident, empowered, and connected through dance. Classes combine pop-inspired choreography, high-energy movement, and a supportive, judgment-free environment. Instructors have the opportunity to make a real impact in people's lives while doing what they love. DivaDance values positivity, meaningful connections, inclusivity, and high energy. All instructors must complete the Instructor Development Program before teaching their first class, which is provided at no cost.
Requirements
- Experience teaching dance to adults
- Experience creating original choreography
- Strong stage presence and confidence leading a group
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to submit an example of original choreography from a past class or performance with application.
Nice To Haves
- Background in dance team, drill team, cheer, fitness instruction, or other performance-based roles.
Responsibilities
- Teach 1-2 classes per week, primarily weekday evenings and weekend mornings/afternoons.
- Provide occasional performance coverage as needed.
- Support pop-up events and performances offsite.
- Create and teach original choreography.
- Lead, motivate, and build confidence in clients.
- Create a supportive, judgment-free, and inclusive environment.
- Bring high energy and positive vibes to every class.
- Connect with people and make everyone feel welcome.
- Embody DivaDance values of Confidence & Community.
- Learn and grow within a supportive team environment.
- Complete the Instructor Development Program before teaching.
