About The Position

This role is in support of Cencora's distribution services in the US operating through our AmerisourceBergen business. The role involves building and maintaining trusted customer relationships, providing preventative maintenance, onsite support, and remote service for sanitation systems and related technologies. Responsibilities include optimizing system performance, maximizing uptime, troubleshooting technical issues, installing parts, performing basic electrical and plumbing tasks, conducting site assessments, and transporting equipment. The technician will maintain knowledge of products used with the Micro sanitation system, configure system software, perform operational tests, follow standardized procedures, and train customer staff. Collaboration with sales teams to develop customer product plans and clear communication with customers and internal teams are also key aspects of the role. All safety policies, procedures, and compliance requirements must be followed, and other job-related duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent is desired.
  • Knowledge of electrical wiring, plumbing, welding and fabrication is required.
  • Experience with use of power tools, volt meters.
  • Ability to read electrical diagrams, setting up computer programs, and following instructions.
  • Requires computer skills, including Microsoft Office and basic knowledge of computer-based software.
  • Must be able to read and understand English.
  • Good customer service skills and a sense of urgency are required.
  • Driver’s License and acceptable driving record is required.
  • Position requires constant standing, listening/hearing and hand/eye/foot coordination.
  • Position requires frequent walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, and repetitive motions.
  • Position will require occasional sitting, talking, and grasping.
  • Must be able to lift 75 to 100 pounds regularly.
  • Position rarely requires crawling and feeling.
  • Mathematics: Resolves practical problems by choosing the appropriate mathematical technique (percentages, formulas, etc.); uses quantitative data to construct logical explanations for real world situations; expresses mathematical ideas and concepts verbally and in writing; understands the role of chance in the occurrence and prediction of events.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain trusted customer relationships through integrity, responsiveness, and a strong commitment to customer success.
  • Provide preventative maintenance, onsite support, and remote service for sanitation systems and related technologies.

  • Troubleshoot technical issues and resolve problems.

  • Complete plumbing-related service tasks.
  • Conduct site assessments, as needed, to determine appropriate equipment placement based on facility layout, customer requirements, and operational needs.
  • Transport and deliver equipment to customer locations.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of all products used with the Micro sanitation system, including product applications, indications, concentration ranges, and other key information needed to educate and support customers.
  • Configure, maintain, and adjust sanitation system software according to customer specifications.
  • Perform standard operational tests in accordance with established protocols.
  • Follow standardized checklists and create, update, or revise standard operating procedures as needed.
  • Train customer staff on system operation, inventory control procedures, and best practices.
  • Provide ongoing education to customer management teams regarding new Micro products, programs, and solutions that support increased product adoption and sales growth.
  • Collaborate with Program Development and sales teams to create customer product plans that support territory revenue growth.
  • Clearly communicate processes, updates, and changes to customers and internal team members.
  • Prepare, complete, and maintain all required documentation related to service, maintenance, and customer support activities.
  • Follow all safety policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
