About The Position

Walmart is expanding with its third company-owned milk processing facility to serve over 750 stores across Texas and surrounding states. This state-of-the-art facility will produce high-quality milk products under Great Value and Member’s Mark, using milk sourced primarily from Texas dairy farmers. This position is responsible for assisting in the operation of multiple departments. An individual in this position will be expected to perform additional job related responsibilities and duties throughout the facility as assigned and/or as necessary.

Requirements

18 years of age or older.
2 years' experience in industrial maintenance working with electrical, electronics, and mechanical equipment (for example, forklifts, conveyors, building equipment, automated equipment, robotic work cells, PLC-controlled production machinery).

Troubleshooting PLC I/O, HMI screens, and basic ladder logic in a manufacturing or production environment.

Responsibilities

Trains and mentors Automation Technician I associates on preventive maintenance procedures and basic troubleshooting techniques for automated equipment.
Completes work orders, records, logs and other written or computer-based documents according to established procedures.
Troubleshoots and performs basic fault diagnosis on PLC-controlled production equipment, HMI interfaces, and motor control systems (for example, VFDs, servo drives) used in manufacturing automation, escalating complex programming issues to senior technicians or controls engineers.
Operates material handling equipment, battery equipment, moving machinery, and other powered equipment, as well as small and large hand and power tools.
Performs preventative maintenance and repairs on automated machinery, conveyors, and robotics according to company policies and procedures.
Reads and understands blueprints, procedures, diagrams, schematics, sketches, and other written, electronic, or verbal instructions to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
Independently diagnoses and resolves component-level and sub-system-level faults on automated production equipment without direct supervision, escalating only complex control-system or multi-system failures.
Calibrates sensors, instrumentation, and control devices (for example, proximity sensors, photo-eyes, pressure/flow transmitters) to manufacturer and engineering specifications.
Leads and participates in teams by using and sharing resources, information, and tools.
Determines customer needs and business priorities.
Coordinates and executes work assignments.
Provides advice, feedback, and support to ensure timelines and work quality are achieved.
