About The Position

Walmart is expanding with its third company-owned milk processing facility to serve over 750 stores across Texas and surrounding states. This state-of-the-art facility will produce high-quality milk products under Great Value and Member’s Mark, using milk sourced primarily from Texas dairy farmers. This position is responsible for assisting in the operation of multiple departments. An individual in this position will be expected to perform additional job related responsibilities and duties throughout the facility as assigned and/or as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Completes work orders, records, logs, and other computer-based documents according to established procedures.
• Performs preventive maintenance and repairs on various automated machinery and other powered equipment.
• Operates material handling equipment, battery equipment, moving machinery, and other powered equipment.
• Assists Maintenance Technicians and other Automation Technicians in the troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of automated production equipment, robotic work cells, and conveyor or material handling systems.
• Troubleshoots basic faults on automated equipment (for example, jams, sensor misalignment, guarding interlocks, basic control faults) where the cause is visible or obvious, escalating unresolved issues to a higher-level technician.
• Independently performs routine preventive maintenance, inspection, and minor component replacement (for example, sensors, belts, guards, pneumatic fittings) on automated production and material handling equipment according to established PM schedules and manufacturer specifications.
• Uses basic electrical test equipment (for example, multimeters) and reads basic wiring diagrams and equipment manuals to identify component-level faults on automated equipment.
• Assists in equipment changeovers, adjustments, and start-up/shutdown procedures for automated production lines under the direction of higher-level technicians or engineering.
• Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans; using the Open Door Policy; and applying these in executing business processes and practices.
• Completes work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources; collaborating with managers, co-workers, customers, and other business partners; identifying priorities, deadlines, and expectations; carrying out tasks; communicating progress and information; determining and recommending ways to address improvement opportunities; and adapting to and learning from change, difficulties, and feedback.
