About The Position

This role is responsible for supervising the daily operations of automation systems within a dairy plant. The supervisor will program and troubleshoot automated control systems, utilize electrical schematic designs and configurations, and provide technical support. They will also train associates on automation equipment, perform routine maintenance, and upgrade components. The position involves supporting plant operations, quality, and continuous improvement programs, as well as executing process improvement projects. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Professional certification in engineering, technology, or related field.
  • 1 year's experience in maintenance or related field.
  • 2 years’ experience PLC/Robot Programming.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Technology, or related field.
  • Maintenance or control automation experience.

Responsibilities

  • Programs and troubleshoots automated control systems, including integration electronics, robotics, fiber optic sensors, pneumatic/hydraulic controls, touch panels, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
  • Utilizes on-line and electrical schematic designs, electrical equipment controls, instrumentations, and configurations (e.g., pump Variable Frequency Drive, Allen Bradley Factory Talk, Siemens BR brand controllers and systems).
  • Provides on-call, remote, and on-site technical support for automation equipment.
  • Trains associates on the operation and repair of automation equipment.
  • Manages the daily operations of automation systems by performing routine maintenance of instruments and controls.
  • Upgrades and replaces components and control systems.
  • Continuously monitors all operations processes, identifies operational malfunctions, and corrects them as needed.
  • Completes work orders, records logs, and other documentation according to established procedures.
  • Supports plant operation quality and continuous improvement programs (e.g., Break Down Analysis, Break Down Deployments).
  • Executes process improvement projects by identifying customer and operational needs, performance standards, measuring progress, and adjusting performance accordingly.
  • Develops contingency plans.
