About The Position
The Forestdale School aims to be a model of continuous growth, focusing on student development in state testing (MCAS, MCAS Alt, and ACCESS) and providing comprehensive support socially, emotionally, and academically. The school fosters a caring, nurturing learning community where all students and families feel safe and welcomed. It is a PBIS school and participates in a three-year MTSS cohort, training teachers in social and emotional learning foundations. Responsibilities
- Follows the teacher’s written lesson plans.
- Consults with the principal and/or staff to resolve questions and/or concerns.
- Complies with all building procedures and schedules.
- Prepares a written summary of work completed.
- Makes the absent teacher aware of special situations or problems encountered.
- Implements effective pupil management procedures.
- Maintains a positive learning environment.
- Follows all policies, rules and procedures to which regular teachers are subject and which good teaching practice dictates.
