About The Position

The Technical Solutions Architect provides technical business process management expertise to clients. The role leads clients and collaborates with the Technical Architecture team to determine best practices and efficient processes. Using knowledge of applications and tools, the architect guides delivery and Functional Architecture teams in configuring and enhancing applications to implement designed processes. The position serves as the lead conduit between client business process owners and executives and the technical and functional teams, ensuring applications meet agreed requirements.

The architect leads or participates in project activities across diagnosis, analysis, development, validation, deployment, and support. This includes overseeing environment management, understanding applications, integrations and data migration, collecting non-functional requirements, coordinating enhancement analysis and design, estimating work, advising on business intelligence and reporting, and addressing performance requirements. The role manages technical task breakdown, supports technical consultants, oversees code management and deployment, directs unit testing, helps develop and executes the Go-Live strategy, and supports clients after launch.

The position also owns and drives assigned workstreams, manages project workstreams as directed, and mentors entry-level and senior consultants. Travel may be required up to 25% as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and six or more years of technical D365 experience leading projects and technical teams; alternatively, a High School Diploma/GED and seven or more years of such experience.
• Six or more years of technical D365 experience leading projects and technical teams.
• Three or more years in at least one of the following: enacting software as a business process improvement catalyst, implementing business process improvements, or designing and delivering software enhancements.
• Experience with four or more of the following development technologies: X++, .NET/C#, SSRS, RESTful API Web Services, SQL, JSON, or another object-oriented language.
• Experience with one or more of the following implementation technologies: ADO/Visual Studio/LCS setup and configuration with F&O; ADO Pipelines and Build Runs (Software Deployable Packages); or D365 F&O functional application knowledge.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, facilitation, documentation, and communication skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer relationship skills.
• Business process analysis, design, and process-flow skills.
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced technical environment.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Functional Solutions Architect to understand project scope and approach.
• Oversee environment management activities and understand planned applications, integration methodologies, and data migration expectations.
• Collect non-functional requirements for routine jobs and services.
• Coordinate with the Functional Architecture team to ensure enhancement requirements are collected and documented in sufficient detail.
• Assist with identifying and documenting data migration requirements.
• Partner with the Functional Solutions Architect on Independent Software Vendor analysis and implementation.
• Review gap requirements and high-level designs with the Functional Solutions Architect to assess technical feasibility and approach.
• Provide high-level estimates for proposed enhancements.
• Recommend strategies for Business Intelligence and reporting needs and understand key performance requirements.
• Manage technical task breakdown for technical deliverables and provide guidance and support to Technical Consultants.
• Oversee code management and deployment processes.
• Direct unit testing to ensure acceptable quality before client delivery.
• Help develop the Go-Live strategy and execute the Go-Live deployment plan.
• Supervise testing waves and code remediation until deliverables are satisfied.
• Manage the performance-tuning strategy.
• Provide post-Go-Live support to confirm new processes function as expected and change management has occurred.
• Foster a positive demeanor, learning attitude, and client-service mentality within the team.
• Own and drive completion of key workstreams by team members as directed by project leaders.
• Manage project workstreams as directed.
• Mentor and develop entry-level and senior consultants.
• Travel up to 25% as needed and perform other duties as required.
