About The Position

Based in Montreal, you will be a full contributing member of an Agile DevOps team, gaining hands-on experience with a broad range of technologies including Java, TypeScript, Linux, Git, Jenkins, Docker, and test automation frameworks. Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • A cumulative GPA of 3.5 or above.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Comfort working independently and taking ownership of assigned tasks.
  • A quality-focused mindset that balances thoroughness with efficiency.
  • Proactive engagement with the needs of customers and stakeholders.

  • Solid understanding of Java; familiarity with Linux, including shell scripting.
  • Experience with relational databases (SQL) and exposure to front-end development (TypeScript, HTML, CSS).
  • Proficiency with version control tools (Git); basic knowledge of Python.
  • Awareness of application monitoring and troubleshooting concepts.
  • Bilingual French and English is required for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based applications and software solutions.
  • Write, test, and debug code, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver efficient and scalable software.
  • Build and improve software tools that support the needs of development teams — such as web-based tools, log analysis tools, debugging tools, and software management tools.
  • Stay current with advancements in software development, cloud technologies, and data engineering best practices.
  • Work alongside technical managers and senior data architects to translate architectural designs into functional code and deliverables.
  • Research and evaluate emerging technologies to enhance our product portfolio.
  • Collaborate with product managers and architects to define requirements for new features.
  • Design and implement new product features.
  • Contribute actively within a team-based Agile environment.
