About The Position

We are looking for someone to be a part of a dynamic team as a Golang Developer for one of our clients. This role is ideal for a backend engineer who enjoys working across both software development and operational functions. You will play a key role in developing scalable backend services, building and maintaining APIs, and supporting cloud-native infrastructure initiatives. As part of a critical platform resilience initiative, you will contribute to the reliability and scalability of core backend systems while helping drive automation and operational excellence.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of professional software development experience (approximately 5 years preferred; strong candidates with 3-4 years will be considered).
• Strong hands-on experience developing applications in Golang.
• Experience designing and building REST APIs.
• Practical experience with Kubernetes and containerized applications.
• Experience working with public cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Strong understanding of backend systems, distributed applications, and microservices architectures.
• Experience supporting production environments and operational processes.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Must be local to Montreal
• Must be currently authorized to work in Canada on a full-time basis.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in platform engineering or infrastructure-focused teams.
• Knowledge of automation, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
• Exposure to reliability engineering principles and cloud-native technologies.
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Golang.
• Build, enhance, and support RESTful APIs for platform and internal services.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver scalable and reliable solutions.
• Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot applications running in Kubernetes environments.
• Support operational activities, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident resolution.
• Automate operational processes to improve efficiency and system reliability.
• Contribute to platform stability, performance, and resilience initiatives.
• Participate in code reviews and follow software development best practices.
