As a Cytotechnologist, you will perform duties using established and approved protocols that require a broad use of independent judgment and responsibility with minimal technical supervision, for patients of all ages. This includes accessioning, preparation, and processing of cytology and molecular specimens according to standard operating procedures. You will also assist in the collection of radiologic fine needle aspirations, screen and evaluate all gynecologic and medical cytology preparations for the presence of atypical or malignant cellular changes, and provide the pathologist with your interpretation of these preparations. Additionally, you will assist in the data management of pathology computer files and participate in an ongoing Quality Assurance program.
