Cytogenetic Tech Trainee
About The Position
The Cytogenetic Tech Trainee position is a training role designed to prepare individuals for employment as a Cytogenetic Technologist. Under supervision, trainees will perform clinical lab testing and scientific examinations using their training in Cytogenetics. The program includes lectures, practical laboratory training, and instructional objectives for each module. Trainees must complete all assignments, lectures, discussions, demonstrations, supervised practice, and practical examinations. Competency is assessed through direct observation and satisfactory performance, signed off by the Trainer and Program Manager.
Requirements
- Must complete all text assignments, lectures, discussions, demonstrations, supervised practice, and practical examinations.
- Must achieve competency as assessed via direct observation and satisfactory performance in training modules.
- Must have training in Cytogenetics.
Responsibilities
- Perform clinical lab testing and/or other scientific examinations under supervision.
- Prepare for employment as a Cytogenetic Technologist.
- Complete all text assignments, lectures, discussions, demonstrations, supervised practice, and practical examinations.
- Achieve competency in training modules as assessed by direct observation and satisfactory performance.
