About The Position
The Cylinder Handler loads and unloads gas cylinders and related products onto and from route trucks and trailers, moves cylinders by rolling and operating a forklift, and helps maintain accurate inventory. The role also involves reviewing customer orders, selecting items from inventory, loading products for delivery, performing basic cylinder maintenance, keeping the work area clean, and assisting with shipment paperwork. The employee completes routine and non-routine daily and weekly assignments as directed.
Requirements
- High school degree or GED.
- More than one year of experience in a plant or manufacturing environment.
- Good leadership, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.

- A strong mechanical background is desired.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload gas cylinders and related products onto and from route trucks and trailers.
- Move cylinders by rolling them and operating a forklift.
- Sort empty cylinders by type and check cylinder quantities, styles, and product specifications to support accurate inventory management.
- Review customer orders, pull required items from inventory, and load products onto trucks for delivery.
- Perform basic cylinder maintenance, including painting and labeling, and clean the work area.
- Assist with paperwork accompanying shipments.
- Complete routine and non-routine daily and weekly assignments as directed.
