This position will be based at the BorgWarner Arden facility in Western North Carolina and will transition to a new facility in Hendersonville, NC. Requirements

  • Completion of high school or equivalent.
  • Licensed to operate forklift.
  • Minimum of two years experience in operating material handling equipment within a manufacturing/assembly operation.
  • Must be able to compute basic math problems.
  • Must be able to read and understand labels.
  • Must have computer skills with Windows environment.
  • Must be able to follow instructions, safety rules, and regulations.
  • Job could require constant standing and walking the entire work shift.
  • May require lifting of 70 pounds during a scheduled shift.
  • May require pushing or pulling of manual pallet jacks or hand carts containing full baskets of parts.
  • May require climbing, stooping, bending, crouching, squatting, kneeling, reaching, good balance control and hand tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Perform accurate physical counts of items identified and document results per item and location.
  • Locate parts throughout the entire facility.
  • Perform data entry of some cycle count information into ERP system.
  • Use forklift or power equipment to transport a variety of materials, parts, or products.
  • Understand and adhere to current health, safety, and environmental policies.
  • Understand and adhere to current quality and control policies.
  • Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
  • Attendance on the job is essential.
