About The Position

SAIC is seeking a Cyberspace Capability Developer to join their team. This role is a specialized technical position within the DoD Cyber Workforce Framework (DCWF) Cyberspace Capability Developer (DCWF 341) category, focusing on the Cyberspace Effects workforce element. Personnel in this role are responsible for writing, reverse-engineering, and testing low-level code, binaries, and scripts for force projection or external defense operations. At intermediate to advanced levels, developers will autonomously engineer complex software tools, identify zero-day hardware/software flaws, and lead code analysis pipelines. This position is located in North Charleston, SC.

Requirements

• Experience writing, reverse-engineering, and testing low-level code, binaries, and scripts.
• Proficiency in C, C++, Python, and Assembly language.
• Ability to analyze software binaries and malware.
• Experience with sandboxes and virtualization environments for software testing.
• Familiarity with the Joint Basic CCD framework.

Nice To Haves

• Experience at intermediate to advanced levels in autonomously engineering complex software tools.
• Experience identifying zero-day hardware/software flaws.
• Experience leading code analysis pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test custom software utilities and scripts to satisfy operational cyber requirements.
• Write and maintain scalable, robust code utilizing C, C++, Python, and Assembly language.
• Analyze software binaries and malware to dissect functions, isolate anomalies, and identify exploitable hardware/software flaws.
• Conduct rigorous software containment, isolation, and testing utilizing sandboxes and virtualization environments.
• Provide technical peer reviews of code repositories and mentor junior developers working under the Joint Basic CCD framework.
