About The Position
Assist with the daily operations of the Cybersecurity Lab by providing technical and administrative support to faculty and students. The position is department-funded and specific to the Cybersecurity Lab.
Requirements
- Minimum GPA of 2.0.
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with cybersecurity tools such as Wireshark, Splunk, Kali Linux, and Metasploit.
- Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
- Experience with virtualization and networking simulators such as VMware and VirtualBox.
Responsibilities
- Monitor the Cybersecurity Lab during open hours.
- Assist with installing and configuring cybersecurity software and tools, including VMware, VirtualBox, Wireshark, Kali Linux, Metasploit, Splunk, Snort, Suricata, Nmap, Nessus, OpenVAS, and Burp Suite.
- Troubleshoot lab equipment and software issues.
- Ensure lab guidelines are followed.
- Provide support for faculty-led research and student projects.
