About The Position

ENSTAR is looking for a Temporary Cybersecurity Intern for the summer season, typically from May 1, 2026, through October 31, 2026. This role is based in Anchorage and offers an opportunity to gain essential experience within the Cybersecurity department. The intern will provide basic technical support for software, hardware, and networking needs, manage service requests and incident tickets, and assist with computer builds and imaging.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED.
Two or more years of technical, security, and/or customer support experience.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications and Microsoft Windows 10/11 OS.
Working knowledge of networking.
Must possess a valid Alaska Driver's License and be qualified to operate a vehicle under the conditions of the ENSTAR's Driving Policy.
Ability to pass a background, past employment, credit, drug, and driving record screening.

Responsibilities

Provide initial contact point for technical support, training for desktop applications, and computer hardware and software.
Maintain Cybersecurity service requests and incident tickets, escalating and assigning to other technicians as necessary.
Build/image computers using prescribed tools and processes.
