About The Position
Horizon Industries Limited is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer for a full-time position supporting the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) onsite in Columbus, Ohio, or Richmond, Virginia. The role performs routine project tasks involving specialized cybersecurity problems and integrates electronic processes or methodologies to resolve system and technology problems related to cybersecurity requirements. The Cybersecurity Engineer analyzes information security requirements and applies analytical, systematic approaches to workflow, organizational, and planning problems. The position provides security engineering support for the planning, design, development, testing, demonstration, and integration of information systems. The primary DCWF work role is 521: Cyber Defense Infrastructure Support, at the intermediate proficiency level; the secondary role is 441: Network Operations Specialist, also at the intermediate level.
Requirements
- Seven years of relevant IT experience.
- Active DoD Top Secret clearance.
- Four years of experience creating customized signatures using SNORT.
- Intermediate proficiency in DCWF Work Role 521: Cyber Defense Infrastructure Support.
- Intermediate proficiency in DCWF Work Role 441: Network Operations Specialist.
- Experience with the Trellix IPS manager and Check Point Threat Prevention Specialist (CTPS) computing environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform project tasks involving specialized cybersecurity problems.
- Integrate electronic processes or methodologies to address system problems and technology issues related to cybersecurity requirements.
- Analyze information security requirements.
- Apply analytical and systematic approaches to resolve workflow, organization, and planning problems.
- Provide security engineering support for planning, design, development, testing, demonstration, and integration of information systems.
- Create customized signatures using SNORT.
