About The Position

JT4 is seeking a transitioning military service member to participate in a cybersecurity internship through the Department of Defense SkillBridge Program. The participant will gain practical, supervised experience supporting cybersecurity and information assurance operations within a DoD environment at the National Space Test and Training Complex (NSTTC). They will work alongside JT4 cybersecurity professionals, including Information System Security Managers, Information System Security Officers, system administrators, and network engineers. The internship is intended to prepare the participant for potential civilian employment as a Cybersecurity Analyst or in a related information assurance role. Under the supervision and guidance of JT4 cybersecurity personnel, the participant will assist with fundamental cybersecurity and information assurance activities for NSTTC information systems and network environments. Activities include supporting Risk Management Framework and system authorization processes; organizing documentation and security evidence; assisting with vulnerability management, compliance, and continuous monitoring; and learning about system and network security. The participant will also help maintain cybersecurity records, track findings and corrective actions, and support preparation for inspections, audits, and authorization reviews. All activities are performed under supervision and in accordance with security policies, access authorizations, and government requirements. The participant will receive mentoring and supervised practical experience from JT4 cybersecurity professionals. A separate structured training plan will define learning objectives, activities, and milestones during the internship.
