About The Position

As a Tier 2 security operations center (SOC) analyst, you will help secure critical infrastructure by monitoring, detecting, and responding to cybersecurity threats and alerts. You will review logs, security-tool output, and intelligence sources; investigate security events; and follow escalation processes. Working with a team, you will help understand and mitigate threats, restore operations, limit impact, and support recovery efforts. You will analyze incidents to determine the systems affected, combine threat intelligence with event data and assessments of recent events to identify attacker patterns and goals, recommend improvements, and prepare reports and informational documents. The role provides hands-on experience in threat assessment and incident response.

Requirements

• Experience with DoD information systems.
• Ability to support 24/7 operations via a shift work schedule.
• Top Secret clearance; applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
• High school diploma or GED.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with DoD STIGs, SRGs, and hardening guidance.
• Knowledge of ESS, ACAS, and DoD SIEM platforms.
• Ability to work well on a team.
• TS/SCI clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or Engineering.

Responsibilities
