About The Position

The Cyber Operations Lead supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. The candidate will work with hardware engineers, software engineers, and test teams developing, testing, and deploying cyber tools for compliance initiatives. They will contribute to the security planning, assessment, risk analysis, risk management, certification and awareness activities of CLAW systems. The role involves gathering data and preparing documentation in support of patching and STIGs to support the cyber compliance of CLAW systems. The candidate will support the CLAW Cyber Teams by ensuring Battle Rhythms are kept up to date and adhered to for all day-to-day tasks. Coordination with appropriate team members, internal and external teams, customers, stakeholders, and leaders is essential to effectively execute tasks, solve problems, and develop solutions with minimal to no mission impact. Understanding security vulnerabilities in various SW and HW platforms and recommending mitigations is key. The role includes developing and coordinating all authorization documentation, including Systems Categorization, Systems Security Plan, and Systems Risk Assessment. Coordination with the Information System Security Officer (ISSO), Operations and Maintenance (O&M), and Cyber Vulnerability Management Team (VMT) is required to meet Cyber requirements. The candidate will brief Government and Contract Leadership confidently, concisely, and professionally. They will conduct assessments of information systems security requirements, evaluate current security posture, and recommend priorities for remediation. Reviewing information system infrastructure and application architecture to assess security requirements is also part of the role. Additionally, the candidate will assist the CLAW Cyber Team in performing and documenting risk assessments, analyzing security vulnerabilities, and the metrics to measure associated risks. Assisting the CLAW Cyber Lead with projects, tasks, and the day-to-day Battle Rhythms of the CLAW Cyber Team is expected.

Requirements

  • Must have 4, or more, years of general (full-time) work experience (May be reduced with completion of advanced education)
  • Must have 2, or more, years of experience in cyber security and/or IT
  • Must have 6, or more, months of experience working in a management or leadership role
  • Must have a current DoD 8570.01M IAT Level II certification
  • Must have experience with ATO’s, RMF and related Cyber Security Audits
  • Must have an active DoW Secret Security Clearance
