About The Position
A leading international law firm is seeking a Cyber, Data & Privacy Associate Attorney to join its highly regarded Chicago office. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney interested in handling sophisticated privacy litigation, data security disputes, regulatory investigations, and consumer protection matters for innovative companies across a variety of industries.
Requirements
- 4–6 years of litigation and/or regulatory investigations experience
- Experience involving privacy, cybersecurity, data protection, or consumer protection matters
- Ability to manage significant projects and interact directly with clients
- Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills
- General technology fluency and interest in emerging privacy issues
- Strong academic credentials
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required
- Illinois bar admission required or ability to become admitted
Nice To Haves
- Experience handling FTC, State Attorney General, or other regulatory investigations preferred
- Experience defending data privacy, data breach, wiretapping, Stored Communications Act, or consumer class actions strongly preferred
- Experience involving claims related to unfair or deceptive trade practices is a plus
