The CVOR Tech will work in Cardiovascular/Thoracic services, with Transplant and Thoracic Robotics experience preferred. The position may float within the facility and scope of practice, including to the Main OR as needed. Weekend coverage is Friday through Sunday. Call expectations will be discussed during the interview. The unit accepts first-time travelers, and local candidates are accepted at the same rate. Candidates undergo clinical review to determine clinical fit. Candidates who pass the clinical review and meet Piedmont guidelines are sent to the manager for a final decision; clinical screens are conducted case by case. A maximum of seven days of requested time off is allowed. Holiday work expectations depend on the number of major holidays that fall during the assignment: work one if one falls during the assignment, both if two fall, or two if three fall. Major holidays listed are Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day. Full compliance is required to start on time. If compliance is not completed in time, the start will be pushed back two weeks because orientation is scheduled biweekly. Non-billable orientation hours depend on contract length (for example, eight hours for an eight-week assignment and ten hours for a ten-week assignment).
