About The Position

Nexus MedPro Staffing is seeking an experienced CVOR Tech for a 13-week travel contract at Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, North Carolina. The assignment starts November 23, 2026, and offers an estimated weekly pay of $2,450 for 40 hours per week. The schedule is days, four 10-hour shifts, from 6:15 AM to 4:45 PM. The role has a 1:1 patient assignment ratio, requires call and floating, and involves scrubbing for all cases. The surgical services department supports multi-specialty inpatient, outpatient, and emergent procedures, including cardiovascular, vascular, trauma, general surgery, neurosurgery, orthopedics, urology, ENT, OB/GYN, plastics, pediatrics, neonatal procedures, endoscopy, and organ harvesting. The department has 31 operating rooms and uses Epic and Pyxis. Scrubs are provided, and scheduling is determined by the manager.

Requirements

Minimum 1.5 years of experience.
Previous travel experience required.
BLS required.
NBSTSA certification required.
Trauma Level II experience required.
CVOR and trauma experience required.
Cardiac and vascular surgery experience required.
Experience with adult through geriatric patients.

Epic experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Scrub for all cases.
Support cardiovascular, vascular, and trauma procedures, including procedures such as CABG, aortic aneurysm repair, mitral valve replacement, pericardial window, carotid endarterectomy, carotid angioplasty/stenting, femoral-popliteal bypass, aortobifemoral bypass, and atherectomy.
Float to the Main OR and Vascular OR as needed.
Participate in call coverage, approximately two days per week, including every third weekend; provide weekend coverage as needed.
Apply aseptic technique and follow fire and laser safety, sharps safety, specimen handling and labeling, sterilization and disinfection, and Universal Protocol / Time Out procedures.
