About The Position

Requirements

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Florida or compact state)
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire/transfer
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within 90 days of hire/transfer
Minimum 1 year of recent (within the last 2–3 years) acute care ICU RN experience required OR 2+ years of Progressive Care Unit (PCU) RN experience considered

Nice To Haves

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Responsibilities

Deliver direct, high-acuity nursing care to patients in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit
Monitor and manage patients requiring ventilators, IV drips, and advanced cardiac support therapies
Serve as a patient and family advocate, ensuring privacy, dignity, and confidentiality
Educate patients and families regarding medications, procedures, and ongoing care plans
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care
Perform ongoing patient assessments and respond promptly to changes in condition
Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough clinical documentation
Adhere to all hospital policies, safety protocols, and regulatory standards
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and team-based care efforts
