About The Position

The Cutter Operator is responsible for cutting printed product to meet or exceed customer expectations. This role involves operating a cutting machine, meeting production goals, and ensuring quality standards are met. The operator will also be responsible for basic maintenance, record-keeping, and maintaining a clean work area.

Requirements

Prior knowledge of cutting operations and procedures
Attention to detail
Good mathematical aptitude
Able to read, write and speak English
Good organizational skills
Good interpersonal skills and be able to interface with all departments
Ability to read measuring devices and calculate fractions
Legible handwriting on all company forms

Responsibilities

Receive printed skids of inserts and set machine to proper size according to customer specifications.
Meet departmental production goals.
Notify supervisor of below ordered count.
Follow instructions on job jackets regarding cutting and verify rule ups and measurements on products.
Review flag areas on skids.
Comply with internal and external quality requirements and standards.
Follow GMPs and complete all related paperwork.
Comply with all relevant SOP’s and safety requirements.
Perform necessary preventative maintenance, including changing blades.
Use computer to record status of orders and quality of work completed.
Maintain work area in a neat and orderly condition in accordance with housekeeping and safety requirements.
Perform other duties as assigned within the finishing department.
