About The Position
The Cut Table Utility is responsible for wrapping rolls for the cut table. This role involves operating and maintaining the cut table equipment, ensuring accuracy in measurements, inspecting materials for defects, and assisting with various production processes. The position also requires end-of-day procedures such as cleaning and maintenance.
Requirements
- Organizational skills and attention to detail
- Certified to operate a lift truck in a safe manner
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prolonged periods of standing and using your hands
Responsibilities
- Turn equipment on for the day.
- Get any supplies or tools ready for the day.
- Label all rolls processed by the cut table.
- Hand measure (using tape measure) once a day to ensure accuracy of cut table meter and document in log for Quality Control.
- Ensure all roll balances are measured that ship.
- Inspect rolls for any defects and notify the Lead of any quality issues.
- Core and wrap finished goods.
- Assist with trim, Velcro, and splitting processes under the direction of the Lead.
- Ensure machines and equipment are shut off and unplugged at the end of the day.
- Blow out the Cut Table.
- Clean up the work area.
- Perform maintenance on the Cut Table (Blades and Roller wrap).
- Perform additional duties and accountabilities as assigned.
