About The Position

As a Cut Fruit team member at Broulim’s, you will prepare and package a variety of fresh-cut fruits for customers. You will slice, dice, and arrange fruit carefully while maintaining high standards of quality and freshness. The role contributes to the produce department by providing customers with healthy and convenient options.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in food preparation, preferably in a retail or food service environment.
Knowledge of fruit varieties and basic food safety practices.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle physical tasks.
Knowledge of fruit preparation methods, food safety regulations, sanitation practices, and inventory management principles.
Attention to detail when cutting and packaging fruit.
Time-management skills and ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
Clear communication skills for interacting with customers and coworkers.
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
Flexibility to adjust to changing priorities and handle various tasks.
Ability to collaborate with coworkers and provide a positive customer experience.

Responsibilities

Wash, peel, and cut a variety of fruits according to established guidelines and customer preferences.
Package and label cut fruit products accurately and in accordance with food safety standards.
Arrange cut fruit attractively in display cases and refrigerated sections.
Monitor cut fruit inventory and assist with ordering and restocking.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the preparation area, including cleaning equipment and surfaces.
Assist customers with cut fruit selections and answer questions about products.
Follow food safety guidelines and regulations for safe handling and preparation.
Collaborate with team members to achieve department goals and maintain a positive working environment.
