About The Position

Responsible for executing the import of tax paid and tax suspended cargo, admissions into the Foreign Trade Zone, and various other import and export related processes. Ensure compliance with domestic and international laws and facilitate the smooth transit of goods across borders.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required
  • 3 years + Supply Chain knowledge, ideally in Import/Export or qualification in a relevant field.
  • Analytical ability to identify anomalies, trends, and resourcefulness to problem-solve exceptions.
  • Proficiency of Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) software; Customs records databases; Integration Point (One Source) and EditTrade.
  • Proficient MS Office, with advanced Excel skills (heavy Pivot usage), and SAP Experience.
  • Understanding of Warehouse Processes.
  • Ability to maintain accurate and efficient filing systems and logs.
  • Working knowledge of various Custom Forms (CF214, CF215, CF216, CF7512, CF3461, CF7501, CF349)

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all import, export and Foreign Trade Zone activities comply with applicable laws and CBP & FDA regulations.
  • Prepare and submit accurate & timely documentation required for the clearance of goods through customs. Filing of Importer Security Filings (ISF) for ocean imports
  • Classify goods according to the Harmonized Tariff Schedule and determine appropriate duty rates.
  • Provide guidance on customs requirements, tariffs, shipping restrictions, and other trade-related matters.
  • Maintain organized records to support CBP audits, FTZ compliance reviews, and internal controls
  • Conduct internal audits of customs entries and processes to ensure accuracy and compliance. Identify discrepancies and escalate compliance concerns
  • Liaise with customs officials, shipping companies, and clients to resolve any issues that may arise during the clearance process.
  • Responsible for the preparation, monitoring and recording all U.S. Customs Foreign Trade Zone transactions including inventory control, admissions (CBPF 214), and zone transfers
  • Calculate duty and tariff payments owed on shipments and validate brokerage accounts and payments.
  • Ensure Bacardi’s Customs Software is maintained with accurate Master Data Information, CBMA, MID Codes and Customer information.
  • Drive continuous improvement.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
