About The Position

The primary duty of this role is to set up and release shipments imported into Canada across various modes of transportation containing a wide variety of commodities, paying close attention to the rules and regulations as set out by CBSA in the Customs Act. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent qualification
  • Good command, both verbal and written, English skills.
  • Ability to create collaborative engagements and active listening
  • Service oriented and able to resolve customer grievances
  • Strong interpersonal skills, building professional relationships internally and externally
  • Strong problem-solving skills and analytical skills

Responsibilities

  • Set up and release of shipments being imported into Canada
  • Track and trace incoming shipments
  • Process courier shipments
  • Identify tasks that require special handling, recommend process improvements, and implement resolutions within assigned scope of responsibility
  • Adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures and Policies set in place by the department and organization
  • Provide input and be an active participant at weekly team briefings
  • Perform assigned tasks to support DSV meets its objectives and targets regarding quality, health, safety and environment and follow all requirements as set out in the DSV Quality Health Safety Environment policy.
  • Ensure that day-to-day activities embrace sustainability, Health and safety therefore reducing the impact upon the environment, supporting the communities we work in and reducing incidents in the workplace.
