About The Position

As a Customs Risk & Security Specialist, you will spearhead the design and execution of end-to-end security, compliance, and 24/7 GPS monitoring frameworks for high-stakes U.S. and cross-border logistics. This hands-on role balances strategic oversight with field operations, requiring you to conduct physical route surveys, manage complex customs documentation, and lead rapid-response protocols for transit exceptions and border clearances. By leveraging real-time data and technical tracking platforms, you will proactively mitigate supply chain hazards to guarantee secure, rule-based, and seamless cargo delivery.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of working experience in cross-border logistics safety management, cross-border logistics monitoring and GPS tracking at the local workplace.
  • Fluent in English (oral & written).
  • Able to proficiently read and draft English safety documents and compliance papers, conduct daily email correspondence, and communicate smoothly with local customs, customs brokers, transport companies and other partners at the local workplace.
  • Possess valid work permits for full-time work in the US.
  • Able to undertake on-site route surveys, cross-regional business trips, and provide 724 on-call response/shift system and the non-stop working schedule throughout the year, with the ability to respond promptly during night hours and on holidays.
  • Proficient in U.S. import/export customs regulatory requirements and cross-border transportation safety standards.
  • Be able to establish local logistics safety management systems independently for the U.S.
  • Excellent coordination skills for handling abnormal incidents, and ability to efficiently communicate with customs brokers, shipping companies / airline companies, customs clearance agencies, and transportation companies, etc., to facilitate the rapid closure and resolution of abnormal incidents.

Nice To Haves

  • Candidates with experience in on-site route survey, cross-border clearance safety management, GPS intelligent anti-theft equipment monitoring and the establishment of central control information monitoring systems are preferred.
  • Ability to speak, read and write in Mandarin is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct on-site surveys for domestic and cross-border transportation routes in the U.S. and work out optimal routing plans to guarantee safe and on-time cargo delivery.
  • Reinspect key routes regularly, and dynamically update route safety assessments and transportation solutions.
  • Set up 24-hour centralized information monitoring, special GPS control mechanism and a standardized 724-hour shift monitoring mechanism, responsible for the real-time visual monitoring of cross-border logistics transportation in the corresponding business area, and achieving full traceability of the cargo transportation trajectory.
  • Track inland transportation and last-mile delivery status, verify estimated and actual delivery schedules.
  • Ensure goods are delivered intact on time, obtain official proof of receipt and complete full delivery closure.
  • Conduct comprehensive verification of safety compliance materials, shipping documents, customs papers and qualification certificates throughout the logistics chain.
  • Ensure all documents are authentic, complete, compliant and consistent, and prevent safety, compliance and clearance risks caused by inconsistent or invalid documents and qualifications.
  • Formulate emergency plans for potential safety risks across all logistics stages, covering detention during customs clearance, customs inspection, cargo damage/loss, GPS signal anomalies, traffic accidents, route deviations, border clearance issues and hazardous material incidents.
  • Record and archive the handling process, results, and loss situations of all abnormal events, form review report, and continuously optimize the risk prevention and control process.
  • Conduct statistical analysis on core logistics monitoring data.
  • Regularly analyze key indicators including on-time delivery rate, exception rate, customs clearance lead time, delivery lead time, GPS device online rate and alert response time.
  • Continuously optimize logistics monitoring rules based on business development and post-incident reviews.
  • Perform daily operation, maintenance and optimization of GPS tracking platform and logistics monitoring system.
  • Coordinate with GPS device suppliers and logistics system vendors to resolve technical issues and ensure stable operation of all monitoring systems.
  • Implement standardized archiving management for all logistics safety documents throughout their lifecycle, including route survey reports, safety inspection records, compliance credentials, emergency plans, training logs, exception handling reports, insurance documents and transportation contract.
  • Independently build standardized and replicable logistics safety control systems for the U.S. local operations.
  • Define safety control standards, responsibility allocation and risk prevention nodes for each process, ensuring full-link logistics operations are rule-based, compliant and traceable.
  • Conduct regular full-process safety and compliance audits for local logistics operations in the U.S., covering warehousing, loading and unloading, transportation, customs clearance, delivery and border clearance.
  • Fully inspect potential safety hazards and compliance risks, issue official safety audit reports, and formulate targeted rectification plans.
  • Distribute daily logistics monitoring reports to relevant supervisors, shippers, consignees and service providers.
  • Compile weekly and monthly summary reports to keep all parties updated on real-time cargo movement throughout the entire transportation process.
