Prepare and process customs entries in accordance with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulations and internal compliance procedures. Review commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, arrival notices, and other import documentation for completeness and accuracy. Verify importer of record (IOR), country of origin, valuation, terms of sale, tariff classification, and other entry data prior to submission. Research and apply Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) classifications and identify applicable duties, taxes, fees, and trade requirements. Coordinate with customers, carriers, freight forwarding teams, customs brokers, overseas offices, and internal operations to obtain missing information and resolve discrepancies. Monitor entry status and shipment releases, identify problem files, and take timely corrective action to prevent delays, storage, or other avoidable costs. Support compliance with applicable Partner Government Agency (PGA) requirements and other import regulations, where applicable. Maintain accurate, complete, and audit-ready entry records and supporting documentation. Escalate unresolved compliance concerns, documentation discrepancies, or operational risks to management as appropriate. Provide professional and timely updates to customers and internal stakeholders regarding entry status and customs-related issues. Work closely with Brokerage and Operations teams to maintain a high level of customer service and operational accuracy. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
