About The Position

Auria is a leading global supplier of highly-engineered systems for automotive flooring, acoustical, thermal, aerodynamic and other fiber-based solutions for gas and electric vehicles. With U.S.-based operational headquarters in Southfield, Michigan, Auria operates 16 manufacturing, 9 technical and 5 JV locations across 10 countries and employs approximately 3,700 people worldwide. We are currently searching for a Materials Specialist to join our team at our Fremont, Ohio facility.

Requirements

  • AS required or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience in Planning/Scheduling, preferably in the automobile industry
  • Familiarity with OEM customer base and working knowledge of EDI and other customer inventory systems.
  • Proven customer service skills
  • Exemplary computer skills
  • Knowledge of ERP systems
  • Able to work well in a team environment.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills; Good interpersonal skills to facilitate sound working relationships with employees, carriers, and customers.
  • Strong priority setting, time management and organizational skills

Nice To Haves

  • Prefer APICS certification, or working toward

Responsibilities

  • Continuously monitor performance against schedule and champion corrective actions, as problems occur, to maximize 100% schedule achievement.
  • Responsible for maintaining a positive working rapport with our customers.
  • Maintaining the customer systems (i.e. SMART, CSDS) on a daily basis per the customer requirements. (For example: Review delivery information, respond to shortage tickets, Monitor, and reconcile shipping and cum discrepancies, Dispute delivery performance instances that are not valid)
  • Review customer 830/862 releases for accuracy and timeliness and communicate changes or problems accordingly.
  • Review and approve all adjustments to material requirements from the customer.
  • Initiate premium transportation with the shipping department.
  • Prepare obsolescence claims /documentation.
  • Maintain accurate records on customer information (Part number, description, contact phone number) - Maintain manual releases for customers that are not EDI capable.
  • Maintain business system for part cross-reference, scheduled orders, ASN & Carrier default parameters, and customer ship-to information.
  • Initiate daily shipping orders.
  • Responsible for weekend and holiday logistics
  • Responsible for managing returned product from the customer.
  • Responsible for the collection of cost recoveries due from the customer
  • Carry out assigned functions described in Policies, Procedures, and Quality Manuals. Implement IATF procedures and ensure compliance to IATF and MMOG requirements.
  • FCA SMART support
  • Create daily deliveries in the current ERP system.
  • Communicate with customers to enhance capability to meet customer’s expectations.
  • Oversee and manage the accuracy of the bank's customer and client information.
  • Any additional reasonable request deemed necessary by management.
  • Other duties as assigned.
